Halfway into the NFL regular season, the Minnesota Vikings can only produce a lone win against seven losses. Against the visiting Washington Redskins Thursday night, they look to snap a four-game skid and try to get some semblance of order in their campaign in 2013.

An inspiring overtime 30-24 win over the San Diego Chargers brought the Redskins back in contention in the NFC East. With a win over the lowly Vikings, will bring Washington (3-5) just a game behind division leader Dallas Cowboys (5-4) and tied with the Philadelphia Eagles (4-5).

Minnesota's chances don’t look as good. With a 1-7 win-loss record, they are a full four games behind the NFC North teams Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears, which are all tied at 5-3.

In their current four-game losing streak, they have been defeated by over two touchdowns per game on the average.

Washington leads Minnesota, 12-10 in their all-times regular season series. In the last meeting in 2012, Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III ran for 138 rushing yards including the longest in his career (76 yards) to lead the Redskins to an easy 38-26 victory over the Vikings.

If the Vikings delivery the victory Thursday night, not only will they snap out of their current skid but also get their first home win over the Vikings since 1998 and the first Thursday Night Football win since 2000.
