After another disappointing result in the last postseason, Peyton Manning still wants to return to the National Football League (NFL) and play for the Denver Broncos in the 2015-2016 NFL season.

According to an article by Woody Paige, a reporter for the Denver Post, Manning wants to return for another run with the Broncos but a final decision will come only after the annual physical examination as mandated by his contract with the latest Manning update coming from unnamed but trustworthy sources. The same article also stated that Manning will have until March 9, 2015 for both sides to come up with a decision. Manning will be paid $19 million next season.

The 38 year old Manning will be playing in his 18th NFL season if he returns, his fourth season with the Broncos. Manning suited up for the Indianapolis Colts from 1998 to 2010.
The 14-time Pro Bowler Manning has had a colourful NFL career already highlighted by a Super Bowl XLI win in 2007 when he also earned the Super Bowl Most Valuable Player (MVP) honours. For his career, he passed for 69,691 yards on 5,927-of-9,049 completions with a 65.5% completion rate He has 530 touchdowns and 234 interceptions and holds the record for the most touchdown passes by any quarterback in the history of the game.

Both Broncos general manager John Elway and newly-hired head coach Gary Kubiak have already declared publicly that they want Manning back in Broncos uniform. The main issue will be Manning’s health as he was reportedly not 100% in some games in the second half of the regular season and the playoffs.

“I want to be the best support system I can be for Peyton. ... We've had some very good conversations, and we'll have many more.” Kubiak, who will replay John Fox as head coach, said on Tuesday. Well, it's easy to build a playbook for him. I mean, he's been the master at it for many, many years, and you're talking about a Hall of Fame player, a Hall of Fame person."
