With a victory on Monday Night Football, the Seattle Seahawks will be nearer to home-field advantage throughout the postseason. The New Orleans Saints want to stop them on their tracks and steal the number one seed if they can pull off the road upset on primetime Monday.

Seattle (10-1) has the best record in the NFL but conference rivals New England is just one game back at 9-2. The Patriots are just half a game ahead of the Carolina Panthers in the NFC South and an MNF win mean they maintain the division lead while giving them the tiebreaker over the Seahawks for conference’s best.

The Saints are working on a three-game winning streak although they have lost three of the last four games against the spread. They won close ones against the Atlanta Falcons, 17-13 and San Francisco 49ers, 23-20 and blew out the Dallas Cowboys, 49-17 in this stretch.

Meanwhile, the Seahawks are riding a six-game winning streak though none of it came against quality teams as all six are not in the playoff picture and will most likely miss the postseason.

Both of these teams have been competitive on primetime Monday in recent years; the Saints and Seahawks have lost only one game against the spread in 12 games combined between the two teams.

In the last four meeting between these squads, both have two wins straight up and ATS and three of four games have gone over the totals.
