Miley Cyrus may have been active on Instagram but the “Wrecking Ball” hit-maker was never been present on Snapchat or tried playing Pokémon Go.

Like other Hollywood A-listers, the “Hannah Montana” star wanted to establish followers on Snapchat, an app which boasts of 150 million daily users. But at 23, Cyrus admitted to not knowing how to use the social media site or to play the new augmented reality game.

In an interview with Elle USA magazine, Cyrus confessed to feeling like an old lady for not knowing how to use Snapchat or play Pokémon Go.

"I want to be [on Snapchat]. I [just] don't know how to use it. I feel like I'll be an old lady that's too held back, because I don't keep up with it,” she said.

Unlike her fiancé, Australian actor Liam Hemsworth, Cyrus said she doesn’t play Pokémon Go, which is very popular among millennials like her fans and herself.

“I'm not on Pokémon Go,” she said. “[This morning] Liam woke up and tried to go to the car wash because it was a—what do you call it?—PokéSpot. [He’s] like, ‘Got to go find them and catch them all! Ahh!’”

During the photoshoot for Elle magazine, Cyrus flaunts her engagement ring from Hemsworth, with who she reunited this year. Cyrus and Hemsworth met on the set of the 2010 film "The Last Song” and dated until they got engaged in 2012. The couple split in 2013 but eventually reunited last July.

On the same interview, the best-selling recording artist also revealed her plan to ditch the red carpet for good. Her newfound anti-red carpet stance started after attending the “A Very Murray Chrismas” premiere.

"[A year ago] I had to do the [A Very Murray Christmas] premiere, and I will never do a red carpet again. Why, when people are starving, am I on a carpet that's red? Because I'm 'important'? Because I'm 'famous'? That's not how I roll. It's like a skit—it's like Zoolander."

Despite her sexually explicit personality, Cyrus founded the Happy Hippie foundation, which advocates for the protection of homeless and LGBTQ teens across the United States. Cyrus brought a homeless guy to the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards to raise awareness on youth homelessness. (Read: Miley Cyrus’ MTV VMA Moonman trophy up for auction on eBay)

Cyrus is going back to television this month as the new coach of NBC’s “The Voice” singing talent show.

In coaching up-and-coming musicians, Cyrus urged “The Voice” contestants to be like US Senator Bernie Sanders, who lost the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

"…I don't want this to come off the wrong way, but I'm going to tell my contestants: Be Bernie Sanders. Be the person people want and love. Don't worry about the masses. That's how you make a memorable moment. Let people talk about it."

Aside from coaching for NBC’s “The Voice,” Cyrus also plays a role on Amazon Prime’s drama series “Crisis in Six Scenes,” which is directed by Woody Allen. (Read: Miley Cyrus’ new TV shows premiere September)
