For most people about to tie the knot, a one-day wedding for 300 people is already big. This is not the case with Miami Heat forward and NBA champion LeBron James, who is going to get married to his long-time partner on Saturday.

LeBron will be married to his high-school sweetheart, Savannah Brinson, with whom he has two sons.

While details are sketchy, a TMZ report says that the wedding will be a three-day event, starting with a "welcome barbecue" on Friday; the wedding ceremony, cocktails, and dinner on Saturday; and a "farewell brunch" for guests on Sunday. It is certain to be held in San Diego, but the venue itself is not yet clear. A Huffington Post report says that the ceremony will be at either the Grand del Mar or the Hotel Del Coronado.

The guestlist itself is small compared to those of other sports stars. Compared to Michael Jordan's April nuptials which had 2,000 guests, LeBron wanted less than 1,000 people at his wedding. Since September 13 is the start of Yom Kippur, the Jewish Day of Atonement, many believe a lot of would-be guests won't be able to make it to the barbecue.

However, people close to LeBron James such as Dwyane Wade and his girlfriend Gabrielle Union, manager Maverick Carter, Chris Paul, Carmelo Anthony and his wife La La, Heat president Pat Riley, and Heat coach Erik Spoelstra made into the guest list, which also includes performers Jay-Z and Beyonce, LeBron's mother Gloria and her boyfriend, rapper Da Real Lambo. No news, though, if either Chris Bosh or Kobe Bryant is invited.

The three-day celebration is reportedly being organized by celebrity event planner Preston Bailey, who was in charge of multi-millionaire Sean Parker's $10 million wedding to Alexandra Lemas themed after the "Lord of the Rings".

Truly, it is expected to be a wedding fit for a king.
