Some big things are about to kick off and unfold this New Year at UFC 182 and fans are expected to scream and rumble over the yet biggest names to start the year in MMA. Facing off at MGM Grand are Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier to play for the championship bout.

Here's a teaser you've been dying to hear about which tops on the New Year's MMA card - the much-awaited rescheduled match between heavyweight champion Jon Jones and undefeated challenger Daniel Cormier. These two rivals have been teasing their fans for quite some time, and the New Year brings their biggest match yet to date. The two were supposed to have a face-off at UFC 178, but their promotional event originally on August ended up in a scuffle which got the two fined and made to do community service.

Since August, the two managed to cool down things but every time one of them gets interviewed, they continue to build the hype and they spar verbally. They become social media's favourite rivals and they continuously target against each other verbally. This New Year, Jones is defending his eight straight title defence as Cormier expects his 16th victory in a row.

While Jones and Cormier seem to be enough to kick off the year 2015, among the largest names in MMA include the rising lightweights Donal Cerrone, who ranked no. 4, and Myles Jury, at no. 8. The two are expected to have their face-off in the Octagon. Cerrone and Jury are closely tailing each other; Cerron on a five-victory streak, Jury enjoying a 6-0 UFC track record with 15-0 overall stats. One can only expect great victory at UFC 182 for either star.

As the lightweight championships, the night's co-host event, are to replace Ronda Rousey and Cat Zingano's matchup, which was originally attached to UFC 182, other matchups also cover middleweights Nate Marquardt and Brad Tavares. In the bantamweight area, fans are expected to see Marcus Brimage to take on Cody Garbrandt, UFC's newcomer.
