Diego Costa is still suffering from a hamstring injury and he could be out until May 2015. However, Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho expects him to suit up in the final four matches of the club.

"We have eight matches to play," Mourinho said to ESPN. "If he plays four, it's normal. If he plays three, it's a little below what I am expecting. If he plays five it is more than what I am expecting, so I am thinking about four matches."

Costa played in Chelsea’s 2-1 victory over Stoke on April 4 but was replaced after a recurrence of the injury in his hamstring. He missed Chelsea’s 1-0 win over QPR last Sunday and will also miss the matches against Manchester United on April 19, against Arsenal on April 26 and against Leicester on April 30. Mourinho’s expectation is that Costa will recover from his hamstring injury in Chelsea’s match against C Palace on May 3.

Chelsea will finish the season against Liverpool on May 10, against West Brom on May 19 and against Sunderland on May 24. Mourinho added in the article that everybody in the Chelsea squad is already ready and healthy except for Costa. Barring any major collapse from Chelsea, the team is poised to lift the English Premier League title.

With seven matches to go in the season, Chelsea are set to break Manchester United’s record of 262 consecutive days at the top of the table, as per ESPN.

"We have had a good run since day one so nobody should be disappointed because we have been on a good run since August. Now we need 11 more points.” Mourinho said in another ESPN article about their run to the championship.

Chelsea have 73 points (22 wins, 7 draws and 2 losses) atop the league ahead of nearest rivals Arsenal, which have 66 points (20 wins, 6 draws and 6 losses) and Manchester United, which have 65 points (19 wins, 8 draws and 5 losses).
