Chris Brown has responded to online debates about whether he's better than Michael Jackson. The singer feels the King of Pop is "lightyears ahead" of his time.

"I stay the hell up out of [that argument]," the 33-year-old singer said on Big Boy TV YouTube channel Monday. "I'ma keep it 100. I kind of back off of it. My personal take on it is I wouldn't even be breathing or even be able to sing a song if that man didn't exist."

The singer went on to admit that there is "no competing" with Jackson.

"I don't know if [people] look at it as a Jordan-Kobe thing, but I couldn't even look at it. He's lightyears ahead. There is no competing with him."

Brown also shared how "crazy" it is that fans compare him to Jackson.

"It crazy man that that you looked at MJ growing up and not that people will compare are better than but you're that guy that people always bring up when it comes to being a man," he added. "I wouldn't even say a quadruple threat but just do everything sing, dance, perform, just everything."

Some Fans thanked Brown for sharing his opinion on MJ comparisons.

"Chris brown loves Michael Jackson. He respects MJ without Michael Jackson there wouldn't be no Chris brown usher Beyonce bruno mars and more Michael Jackson is their hero michael jackson is a legend Chris brown is amazing singer and dancer Michael & Chris are the two best entertainers of all time they both amazing and the goats period," one social media user commented.

"The Pivot Podcast" host Ryan Clark sparked the online debate earlier this month after he tweeted, "Chris Brown is more talented than Michael Jackson… there I said it! Have a great week."

This is not the first time someone has compared Brown to Jackson. Back in 2019, Rapper 50 Cent said "CB better than MJ to me now."
