Bill Cosby was not present in Los Angeles during the alleged sexual assault incident claimed by his latest accuser, model Chloe Goins. According to recent reports, the 77-year-old comedian's lawyer claimed that he has sufficient documentation to support the fact that his client was not present in the playboy mansion, or in Los Angeles at the time when the alleged sexual assault happened.

Cosby's lawyer, Martin D. Singer, claimed that he would soon present enough evidence to show Cosby's whereabouts before, during and after the specified date of the alleged Playboy Mansion event, as reported by USA Today. The lawyer's short statement questioned the claims of the model who filed a criminal case with the LAPD against Cosby.

As reported earlier, the Las Vegas model filed a case with LAPD, claiming the she was drugged and sexually assaulted at the hands of Cosby at a Midsummer Night's party held in Playboy mansion in August 2008. Since the reported date of the alleged case falls under California's statute of limitations, Cosby might be charged for sexual assault for the first time despite being accused by some 20 women in the last three months.

"Mr. Cosby was in New York on that date," told Singer in a statement, as reported by Huffington Post. "We will be providing documentary evidence to the appropriate authorities which conclusively establishes Mr. Cosby's whereabouts on August 9th and for the preceding and succeeding days," he added.

It was also reported that Cosby's representative contacted Hugh Hefner of Playboy mansion to check the footoage during the event to ascertain whether the comedian visited the mansion during that time. Goins' lawyer, Spencer Kuvin, responded that their camp eagerly awaits Singer's proof.

"Additionally, the press should be asking Mr. Singer to prove where Mr. Cosby was the entire summer for 2008, and if he ever attended a party at the mansion that summer," said Kuvin in a statement. "Finally, if that is true, why was Mr. Singer asking the Playboy mansion to look for [a] security video?"

An LA prosecutor still has to decide whether Cosby will face criminal charges based on Goins' allegations. A similar charge filed by Judy Huth has been rejected last year by the prosecutor, as the alleged incident dated back to the early 1970s.
