April Creed from Coniston in Northern Territory, Australia, has put up an advertisement on eBay, which sells the future rights of her uterus. This is her attempt to help her friend suffering from cancer.

According to Illawarra Mercury, April Creed is a 42-year-old mother with four children. She is raising money to help her close friend, Ann Truscott, buy an expensive chemotherapy to help her in battling cancer.

The cost of the drug, that is non-government funded, is $93,000. Pharmaceutical company, Roche, was offering a discounted price of $15,000 on the grounds of compassion.

Ann worked four days a week while she was undergoing treatment to pay for her treatments and despite that she could not afford the drug. When April heard of it, she was devastated.

She said that when she heard the news, she sat down and thought that it was hideous. She cried and was unsure about what to do. Two days later, she started the crowd-funding page which raised about a thousand dollars in a matter of a day. In a span of two weeks, April has managed to raise $17,000 through her page after which she decided to sell her uterus for more money.

She said that she had joked to somebody about selling her uterus on the black market, but nobody bought it and that is when the idea struck her of selling it to gain attention. In the description of her uterus on eBay, she spoke about how it once forgot it was 40 and wore regrettable shorts. In an attempt to help her antique collector and Monty Python enthusiast, she decided to give away future rights of her uterus.

Ann, the mother-of-five, was overwhelmed by April's efforts. She said that she hadn't gotten word for her friend's efforts. She continued that when one hits a brick wall, one thinks about what they were going to do now but April's efforts had made a huge difference. She said that April was a fabulous person and everyone deserved an April in their life.

Ann had breast cancer before the cancer spread to her bones and brain. Her husband was also diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2013 and because of which he had to take an early retirement.
