A satirical report about tennis ace Maria Sharapova embarking on another business venture outside the tennis court in a new line of toilet cleaning products named "Toiletpova," "Peepova" and "Poopova" has made headlines in various news sites. The report has drawn mixed reactions from people on social media site Twitter.

First published on satirical news site The Spoof in May, the report has recently drawn attention again after it is reported by tennis news sites Live Tennis Guide and Tennis World Magazine. In the report, the Russian-born tennis superstar, who has successfully parlayed her love for sweets into a flavoursome business venture in Sugarpova, will allegedly start another project outside the court by teaming up with The Stinky Bog Toilet Cleaner Company to produce a new line of toilet-cleaning products, which will be called "Toiletpova," Peepova" and "Poopova."

Other readers believed the story and expressed their reactions on Twitter. However, some also didn't fall victim to the news.

Sharapova has her side hustles outside the tennis court. She has successfully delved into candy business (Sugarpova) despite occasionally being blasted by her critics, who claim that she is promoting unhealthy products. In addition to Sugarpova, the World number two recently became the co-owner of Supergoop, a prestige skin care brand which is focused on sun care.

In an interview with Yahoo's Bobbi Brown in November, Sharapova revealed she didn't need a business plan to become an entrepreneur. She said she just started sitting in meetings of blue chip companies such as Nike and Tag Heuer, which are just two of the brands that she endorses.

"I know it sounds cliché, but it's never just your name or picture on a product," Sharapova said. "I think it is one of the reasons I have been successful."

According to Sharapova, she wanted to be a part of the team and not simply have her name or picture on product that she is promoting. She added that she knew nothing about the candy business when she started Sugarpova, but she took a greater part of the mastery that she had accumulated in every one of those years that she had spent while meeting the team behind the company and getting to know their history, legacy and objectives.
