What would the fate of 'The Big Bang Theory' and 'Two And A Half Men' be like?

CBS entertainment president Nina Tassler did not directly answered the question when Kristin Dos Santos of E! Online asked about the two shows.

However, it appears that Big Bang has the greater chance of a renewal, as Tassler reveals that executives over at CBS like her are faced with a question of renewing the geeky sitcom every year.

"That's what happens when you have long-term success," Tassler tells Dos Santos. "We have a great relationship with Warner Brothers and having four Chuck Lorre shows on the air, is great... So far all of them have worked out."

But Jeff Rosz of Screenfury wrote way back in December that Warner Bros. (home company of CBS) is already drafting a contract for the Big Bang cast, including newly-married Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting, to extend their duration up to 2017.

That's ten years of Big Bang, if that does happen.

So to make it clear for Big Bang fans, watch out for May because according to Tassler, the show's fate will be decided around that time.

As for 'Two And A Half Men,' Tassler is also unsure of the show's fate. But if ever the 11-year-old show ends this year, the network would try to get them a proper sendoff.

"We try to and hopefully we will have an opportunity to do that, but we try," Tassler says.

But judging from the recent ratings report of Zap2It, the show that stars Ashton Kutcher and Jon Cryer is likely to get renewed come May this year.

Meanwhile, Tassler also dishes out a bit on the much-anticipated spinoff of How I Met Your Mother. According to her, How I Met Your Father was pitched by the former show's creators Craig Thomas and Carter Bays.

"They (Thomas and Bays) just came in with a great pitch, great characters, much like how they did with How I Met Your Mother," Tassler says. "In this regard, it is a spinoff. It is Carter and Craig and they are bringing in Emily Spivey, but the way the show is structured and the way the story is told, the way the characters will come to learn about the dad it does follow in form like How I Met Your Mother."
