The New York Giants finally notched their first victory of the season after seven weeks. They need to play as good or even better to make it back-to-back when they take on rivals Philadelphia Eagles Sunday at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia on Sunday afternoon.

The Giant beat the Minnesota Vikings, 23-7, last week after six straight defeats to start the 2013 regular season. New York quarterback Eli Manning had 200 passing yards (23-of-39 completion) and a touchdown in the Vikings win, but most importantly, he did not have an interception after recording 15 in the first six games.

New York’s atrocious start included blowout losses against the Denver Broncos (41-23), Carolina Panthers (38-0), Kansas City Chiefs (31-7) and the Eagles (36-21).

Meanwhile, the Eagles, which are expected to get back starting quarterback Michael Vick in this game, are coming off an embarrassing 17-to-3 loss to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 7. Vick suffered a hamstring injury in the first meeting with the Giants in Week 5 and missed the last two games.

That win against the New York started a sort of turnaround for Philly; they started the season at 1-3 and have since won two of three.
