It's raining fireworks! New Year may be regarded as the world's firework festival. Most countries worldwide welcome the new chapter with a big bang of pyrotechnics.

To recall a few, over 250,000 merrymakers in UK gathered at the capital to witness the spectacular fireworks display that lasted 11 minutes and 15 seconds. The Mayor of London disclosed the 12-month long plan of the event, which was assisted by 306 people working on the site and 1,803 others, who are taking in charge on the night itself.

Australia also kicked off the New Year celebration. At midnight, around 1.5 million people crowded the country's city landmarks and foreshores to witness the stunning explosions. Fireworks created various forms and shapes of light that clouded the biggest city.

A few hours later, Tokyo blasted off the celebrations. Balloons were released and fireworks were set off. The Tokyo Tower glowed in a blue light at midnight.
