Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo hinted that the club might acquire loaned Chelsea striker Fernando Torres in January.

The former Rojiblancos captain is still struggling with form despite moving to AC Milan last summer, and it is perceived that Cerezo might be thinking that the flame could be reignited back in the 30-year-old's boyhood club.

"The signing of Torres is not (completed), but, that does not mean it will not be," Cerezo told TVE.

"We have a great team, but we can bring in a signing until the last hour of the transfer market."

"We will fight for La Liga, the Champions League and the Copa del Rey in 2015."

Torres came through the youth ranks at the Vicente Calderon and made a name for himself before moving to Liverpool in 2007, where he achieved world-class status as a player.

However, he has suffered a decline in form since he made the switch to Stamford Bridge and is now considered as one of the biggest, if not the biggest, flops for Chelsea.
