Serena Williams felt more than a winner as she graced the New York Fashion Week for her first-ever walk on the runway. After an impressive performance at the US Open last week, she still managed to get the attention she deserves for being a sports fashion icon.

Williams won her 18th title, a sure Grand Slam hit topping Chris Evert and Martina Navratilova's record without a missed set. Among the other sports superstar present in the event was Caroline Wozniacki, Williams' opponent during the finals. Serena won over Wozniacki at 6-3, 6-3 to end up with the title. She was seated right next to Vogue's editor, Anna Wintour.

The 33-year-old was seen in a stunning red dress with zipper accents straight from Williams' Signature Statement Home Shopping Network collection. Serena was such an 'it girl' during the fashion week as she proved her prowess that Tuesday night. She was out to prove that she is not just your ordinary superstar as she has a taste for good fashion sense too. Thanks to her Spring fashion line launch at the New York Fashion week.

The tennis title-holder showed her perfectly toned mid-riff in a leather crop top and matching skirt with killer heels to finish it off. Serena clasped her hands jointly as she walked through the runway.

Earlier that day, she was seen having a good time with guests that came all the way just to witness her fashion launch.

Currently, she has 18 Grand-slam titles reaching levels with Martina Navratilova and Chris Evert. She was spotted when she visited a sponsoring bank to discuss her latest US Open triumph before heading straight to the fashion studios.
