People's Choice Awards 2014: Naya Rivera of Glee Debuts Lighter Hair

Naya Rivera starts off the year 2014 with a new look that she showed off at the People's Choice Awards yesterday.

The 26-year-old actress strutted down the red carpet with her hair down and in a colour that's relatively lighter than the raven hair she was first known for.

Various entertainment sites noticed Naya's new look, but The Daily Mail noticed that her lighter locks made her look more like reality star Kim Kardashian, though she may possibly be looking at Jennifer Lopez for hair colour inspiration. Incidentally, she credits her new look to Clyde Haygood, who is also responsible for Kim's hairstyle.

"1st glam of 2014 with @missjobaker @ClydeHairgod for people's choice!" Naya tweets, mentioning Haygood for her hairstyle.

The "Glee" actress also wore a colour-blocked mullet dress by Michael Kors and nude pumps for her red carpet walk. She did not wear too many jewelry to go with her outfit, apart from a solid gold choker and her engagement ring that she received from fiance Big Sean.

Entertainment news sites also noticed that she did not wear the diamond necklace that Big Sean gave her on Christmas.

Naya seems to be very happy with her engagement to her rapper beau in October last year. Their engagement came out in the open when Naya was spotted wearing the diamond sparkler at an event.

The couple had been open about their feelings ever since their relationship went public. Big Sean shared in a radio interview in June that he knew Naya from a friend but they first had a conversation of sorts on Twitter.

"Someone told me that she thought I was cute, and I thought she was fine and [so] I was like, 'Let's make this happen','' the 25-year-old rapper said. "The first thing that happened was she followed me on Twitter and I followed her back and I was like, 'Whats up?' and she was like, 'Whats up?'''

He then told E! Online that "Every morning I wake up, I look over at her and be like, 'I'm winning so hard'.''
