On Tuesday around 5:40 a.m., a man while walking on the Northern Road in Luddenham, Sydney, was hit by a southbound Toyota Camry that led to his death. According to the police report, it was dark and foggy at the time of the crash. The man was immediately taken to the hospital where he died sometime later.

The police said that the man had several head and chest injuries for which he succumbed to death. Before the paramedics had arrived, the passersby confirmed that a truck driver and off duty police officer performed CPR but failed to revive his senses. The man, who was hardly in his late 30s, was air lifted to Liverpool Hospital in his critical condition by a helicopter medical crew, confirmed one of the New South Wales Police officers.

The Police further confirmed that an immediate investigation started and the driver of the car that hit him has also been taken to a hospital for medical check-ups as he was found in a state of extreme shock. It has been reported that the investigators are trying to find out the reason behind walking on the rural road where he was hit, reported 9news.

The Sydney police have cordoned off the road between Badgerys Creek Road and Mersey Road that seem to have disturbed the normal routine of the citizens. It’s been a tough morning on Sydney’s roads, reported Daily Telegraph. However, the Transport Management Centre reported that it had not caused major problems.

It has been reported that two other multi-vehicle accidents occurred at Prospect and Auburn respectively, after the M4 delay and citybound queues had reached almost 11 km. The motorists were instructed to take the Great Western Highway, which is considered a longer route. Meanwhile, NSW police have urged motorists to call Crime Stoppers if they had spotted the man before the crash.
