Incoming free-agent wideout Eric Decker and the Indianapolis Colts have mutual interest, and a deal could go down when the NFL free-agency period officially begins, a source close to situation reported on Thursday.

With the Broncos having trouble retaining some of the key players during last season's postseason run, Decker could find himself playing for another team. In fact, he may probably end up with the team Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning left in 2012.

"According, to WCNC-TV's Vic Lombardi, the Indianapolis Colts have interest in pursuing Decker. The interest appears mutual, according to Lombardi," NFL.com insider Kevin Patra reported.

Many football analysts considered Decker as another perfect target for Colts quarterback Andrew Luck, who has been taking his game into another level every year.

"Despite a gaggle of young receivers and pass-catching tight ends, Indy could view Decker as a long-term replacement for Reggie Wayne, after realizing last season what life without the veteran is like," Patra stated.

"Decker's size and route running would be a nice complement alongside T.Y. Hilton and Da'Rick Rogers (who showed flashes of explosive potential last season). Wayne plans to return from his ACL tear, but taking some pressure off the 35-year-old is a necessity for the Colts."
