If there's one important thing that Los Angeles Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant has learned through the years, it's keeping his focus on his game amid constant tirade by the press and other people.

He has been on the receiving end of numerous below-the-belt rants, with some attributing him to the Lakers' recent downfall as well as a career destroyer to former teammates.

"One thing I've come to understand over the years is that you'll have a bad story that comes out on a Monday and it seems like it's the end of the world and it seems like everybody's taking shots at you," said the Lower Merion HS product.

"But time goes by and then you look back on it and it was just a Monday."

"Then you have another great story that comes out maybe a month later, or something like that, and it's a fantastic story."

"And then there's a bad story that comes out one month after that. So you understand that it's a cycle, and things are never as good or as bad as they seem in the moment in time."

When it's all said and done, you can't really argue with five championship rings, can you? And yes, Kobe's already 36, yet he can still punish any given defender at any given night.

With Kobe being Kobe, this was what he had to say: "Stay focused on the bigger picture and things are never as bleak as they seem at the time."

"I just kind of roll with it," he added.
