LA Lakers forward Jordan Hill couldn't help but stress the importance of point guard Jeremy Lin to the squad in the upcoming NBA season.

The Harvard University product failed to live up to his billing with the Houston Rockets, wherein he was eventually relinquished of his role as primary playmaker during the 2013-14 campaign.

Nevertheless, he will be handed that same responsibility yet again, and it will be all up to him to prove his worth.

"He's going to be really important. Especially with Steve Nash out. He's a good player. A good point guard," said Hill.

Lin has been steady in his first three preseason games, contributing to the team by either scoring or finding the open man, which are among his strengths.

However, a glaring statistic in their previous outing against the Portland Trailblazers showed his weakness - his inability to take care of the ball.

The 26-year-old turned the ball over six times in 25 minutes of play, which is perceived to be the consequence of his high-octane style on the offensive end.

In any case, Lin needs to lessen his turnovers; otherwise, it might be good riddance for him.
