It has been a challenging yet successful year for the British indie folk rock band Mumford & Sons as they continue to play for their rescheduled cancelled tour dates in some parts of the U.S.; while eager fans in Australia can catch them perform live at Splendour in the Grass this July.

It will be the second time for Mumford & Sons to perform at the winter music festival, which they headlined back in 2010. Fans can expect the Grammy-award winning band to play on July 26th.

Splendour in the Grass 2013 will be held at the North Byron Parklands, NSW from July 26-28. Unfortunately, tickets for the 3-day music festival have already sold-out.

The band was forced to cancel some of their sold-out dates in the U.S. last month when bassist Ted Dwane became ill and went on brain surgery. Two weeks after Dwane's recovery, Mumford & Sons played at Glastonbury.

Meanwhile, the band's second album, "Babel", is still UK's best-selling album and continues to surge in record sales especially after successfully closing Glastonbury last Sunday (June 30).

Released in September 2012, "Babel" won the 2013 Grammy Awards for Album of the Year. In addition, they also won the award for the Best Long Form Music Video for the film "Big Easy Express".

After Splendour in the Grass, the band will head to Japan for Fuji Rock Festival on the 28th of July and Chicago for Lollapalooza in August 3.
