Apparently, a romantic reconciliation between Jamie Campbell-Bower and Lily Collins could likely happen. In a recent interview with the latest Lancôme ambassadress, she talked about her "instant chemistry" with the British hunk. This reveal comes at the best time following Zac Efron's reveal that he's currently single.

The romance between Jamie Campbell-Bower and Lily Collins of "The Mortal Instruments" series was quite short-lived. Before the film premiered on the big screen, the couple had announced their split but remained in great terms. In fact, fans refused to believe that they had broken up following their extreme PDA on the red carpet premiere of their film.

However, the split was confirmed final when Lily Collins was spotted out and about with her former beau, Zac Efron. According to sources, the latter depended on the actress after his successful rehabilitation. They were again spotted holding hands in the happiest place on earth - Disneyland.

Yet, both parties refused to publicly announce the status of their relationship but in a recent post by a fan on Facebook, Efron was the first to claim he was single. This only means nothing serious is going on between the two stars.

Fans of "The Mortal Instruments" series are now madly hoping Lily Collins and Jamie Campbell Bower rekindle the flames of romance. Given the second book - "City of Ashes" is set to begin production the two former lovers just might fall in love again on set.

In fact, the feelings could still be there given Collins' interview as of late. The bushy-browed star gushed about her "intense chemistry" with Bower during the auditions for "City of Bones."

"When he walked into the audition room that was pretty much it," stated Collins.

Hopefully, Jamie Campbell-Bower still feels the same way. Back in 2013, the British actor claims he still is in great terms with Collins.

"We're tight, yeah. Lily and I are very, very close. Very close. Always have been, always will be," stated Bower in an interview with MTV.

Here's to hoping Lily and Jamie rekindle the romance on the set of "The Mortal Instruments: City of Ashes."
