On Tuesday, Microsoft unveiled the newest member of its Surface line-up, the bigger and better Surface Pro 3 which is supposed to replace the laptop and tablet combination that many people are used to. The tech giant explained the technology behind the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 on stage, showcasing a myriad of aspects related to special features, software, design and accessories.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 will sport a completely revamped thinner design that checks in only at 9.1mm thick and a brand new kickstand, which can hold the device at any angle. According to Microsoft, the 12 inches display of the Surface Pro 3 is "absolutely beautiful" with the highest contrast ratios (3:2 aspect ratio) in the market today. Notably, the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is even lighter than the 13 inches MacBook Air and it comes with the latest generation Intel processor.

With the Surface Pro 3, users can write notes that can be converted into digital texts effortlessly with the improved pen input. The new Type Cover keyboard with magnetic strip can change the angle of the keys for easier use.

Microsoft Pro 3 Price

The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 price starts at $799 and available for pre-order from the online store beginning 12:01 a.m. EDT May 21. Sales of a number of configurations already started but most models will hit the shelves starting June 20.

Microsoft will launch in 26 additional markets by the end of August. The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 will be available in Australia, Austria, Belgium, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Luxembourg, Malaysia, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand and the United Kingdom.
