Pokémon X and Y has new features still making its way to gamers regardless the imminent release of the Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.

It is still a long wait before Hoenn gen 3 remakes ORAS and while waiting, players can make their Pokémons busy with the official tournament from Nintendo. Game Freak publicised the upcoming online contest events for every 3DS and 2DS wielding trainer to wait for. Beginning June 6, Pokémon X and Y supporters can dare themselves with a myriad of competitions that the company has to offer such as:

1. On June 6-8: Think Fast Competition: Single Battle

2. Late June: International Challenge June

3. July: Eevee Friendly Match

4. July: All Star Battle

5. August: Think Fast Competition: Double Battle

6. Autumn: Fairy Type Cup

7. Autumn: Halloween Party

These Pokémon X and Y battles have different set of rules. For example, the All Star Battle will let trainers to use legendaries in battle but without Diancie, according to the Web site. The Think Fast Pokémon battle will be good "for those who have a tough time setting aside time for battling," which would gratify the long-time Pokémon fans out there. The Fairy Type Cup and Halloween Party event do not have exact dates but it should happen sometime this fall. On the other hand, it would be smart for the Pokémon Company to hold their mini events preceding the major one this year, which will be the Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire release.

The Pokémon series does not stop working when it comes to making the fans of the games delighted. With Pokémon X and Y releasing in October 2013, the latest name carried the gamers into the third dimension. Game Freak made things exciting on other levels apart from aesthetics with the introduction of battling mechanics like the Fairy type and mega stones.

Thus far, there are still many things left to reveal on the new face and improvements of the Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.
