The jackpot was worth an estimated $383 million with a cash value of $278.7 million. The unclaimed Mega Millions jackpot has now climbed to an estimated $405 million with a cash option of $294.7 million.

The next Mega Millions lottery drawing will take place on Friday, Sept. 17, at 11 p.m. EST.

Following the latest drawing, there were two big winners from Florida who both hit the Match 5 plus 2X Megaplier and won $2 million each. No other players were lucky enough to match five numbers and win the $1 million prize.

Meanwhile, 25 players hit the Match 4 plus gold Mega Ball, winning $10,000. However, there were only three players who matched four numbers with the gold Mega Ball and 2X Megaplier. Those players took home $20,000 each.

The rest of the prizes from the night ranged between $2 and $1,000.

Mega Millions winners can receive their grand prize lottery winnings through either an annuity or a one-time lump sum payment. Players who select the annuity receive one immediate payment, followed by 29 annual payments that increase by 5% every year.

Mega Millions can be played in 45 states as well as the U.S. Virgin Islands and the District of Columbia.
