The relatives of teenager Jaylen Fryberg claim they are currently living in a nightmare as they try to understand why the 14-year-old student went on a shooting rampage at Marysville-Pilchuck High School in Washington, U.S. The police are still reportedly piecing together the motive for the tragic shooting that happened at the school last Friday, Oct. 24, where Jaylen Fryberg targeted his cousins and friends before shooting himself.

It has been confirmed by the Snohomish County sheriff's office that the on-scene crime investigation has been completed with the weapon used in the shooting already recovered. Jaylen Fryberg's relatives confirmed as well that the teenager targeted his two cousins, Nate Hatch and Andrew Fryberg.

Paula Hatch Satiacum, the 49-year-old aunt of one teenager and relative of the other two boys claimed there was no indication of trouble between the boys before the shooting incident. "I feel very distraught, like it's a nightmare," Paula Hatch Satiacum stated in an ABC News report.

Brandon Hatch, the 26-year-old first cousin of Nate Hatch also shared in the report that he is confused at the moment because he does not know what could have provoked Jaylen Fryberg to shoot his cousins and friends at school. The authorities are currently piecing together Jaylen Fyberg's motive.

The sheriff's department confirmed that they are conducting interviews with around 100 witnesses at the crime scene. Several reports are claiming that the reason behind Jaylen Fryberg's shooting rampage points to his failed relationship with a girl who left him for one of his cousins.

"I heard he asked her out and she rebuffed him and was with his cousin. It was a fight over a girl," ninth-grade student Bella Panjeli shared in a news.com.au report. Additionally, Jaylen Fryberg's Twitter account @frybergj showed the teenager's posts implying heartbreak and anger over a breakup.

"It breaks me. It actually does. I know it seems like I'm sweating it off. But I'm not. And I never will be able to," Jaylen Fryberg tweeted last Tuesday, Oct. 21. Back in September, Jaylen Fryberg posted angry tweets aimed at his rival whom he called his "brother." One tweet reads "Did you forget she was my girlfriend?" while the other one says "Dude. She tells me everything. And now. I f--king HATE you! Your no longer my 'Brother'!"

Students, who were at the school's cafeteria, recounted that Jaylen Fryberg targeted one table during his shooting rampage. Student Jordan Luton shared to CNN that the teenager gunman fired at his friends making the crime a personal one and not just random.
