Maria Sharapova suffered back-to-back losses at the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) Finals in Singapore. However, Sharapova's recent defeats aren't enough to down her spirits. She still has one match left at the season-ending championships and she wants to end the tour on a "good note."

Sharapova first lost to Caroline Wozniacki, 7-6 (7-4) 6-7 (5-7) 6-2, in a grueling three-set match on Oct.21. Then, Sharapova suffered another loss to Petra Kvitova in straight sets, 6-3, 6-2, on Oct. 23.

Speaking after her match against Kvitova via ABC Online, Sharapova said it would be easy to just simply give up after two straight losses at the WTA Finals, but not for her. "That's not the way I feel or the way that I chose to speak," Sharapova said. "I still have a match ahead of me, and I will do my best to finish it on a good note," she added.

Sharapova will play Agnieszka Radwanska next. Radwanska is 1-1 at the WTA Finals. The Polish athlete won against Kvitova on Oct. 21, but lost to Caroline Wozniacki on Oct. 23.

It would be Sharapova and Radwanksa's 13th meeting in professional circuit, their third in the current season. They played in the quarterfinals at Stuttgart and in the semifinals of the Madrid Masters. Sharapova won in both tournaments, beating the Polish in straight sets. The Russian tennis darling also leads their head-to-head record, 10-2. Radwanska had only won against Sharapova at the 2007 US Open and the 2012 WTA Championships.

Sharapova still has a chance to qualify in the semifinals, but she has to beat Radwanska. Sharapova didn't have much trouble in the past, but given her current performance in Singapore, the match against the cunning Polish would present a difficult task
