Lukas Nmecha played excellent, top-tier caliber football with RSC Anderlecht and is now being scouted by three Bundesliga clubs who are looking to improve on their striker depth

The 22-year-old appeared in 41 games on loan for former teammate Vincent Kompany’s club in Anderlecht and contributed to the team’s success with 21 goals and three assists, making him one of the best strikers in the Belgian First Division A.

Many clubs believe that this stint in Belgium allowed the young German to blossom and find his footing among Europe’s budding stars.

Football journalist Ronan Murphy reported that RB Leipzig, VfB Stuttgart and Eintracht Frankfurt have shown interest in acquiring Nmecha from Manchester City.

This is a great sign for Nmecha as the interest of these teams in the Bundesliga will allow him to experience top-tier competition as part of a team’s first eleven and further his growth as a player.

Frankfurt’s interest in the German could be a sign that head coach Adi Hutter and the rest of the organization are preparing for the possible exit of 25-year-old Portuguese Andre Silva after being linked to a move to Arsenal.

Silva had a great outing with Frankfurt, scoring 28 goals in just 32 appearances and filling the gaping hole that he’ll leave is difficult.

Nmecha is not as talented as Silva just yet but that comes with the age difference. However, it’s his ability to score is the main reason why the young German is getting this much interest from the Bundesliga.

To most onlookers, Manchester City can’t afford to lose Nmecha as the Citizens will be needing a young talent who could learn from a veteran like Harry Kane.

It has been reported that the Blues have made a £100 million ($138.2 million) bid in the hopes of stealing him away from the Tottenham Hotspurs.

Tottenham is expected to decline the bid and is standing pat in only entertaining offers from upwards an eye-watering £150 million ($207.3 million).

Manchester City is also looking to fill up a Sergio Aguero-sized hole after he agreed to a move to La Liga with Spanish powerhouse Barcelona, who are looking to strengthen its attacking line by pairing Aguero up with Lionel Messi.
