Mario Balotelli of Liverpool revealed his new hairdo on Instagram ahead of the Merseyside Derby at Anfield. Following Liverpool's slow start to the season, the team is desperate for a victory and Balotelli is a big part the plan. The Italian once again never failed to build-up Liverpool's upcoming derby match by posting a video where he is seen inhaling helium before singing the Liverpool chant.

The 24-year-old joined Liverpool from AC Milan with £16 million signing bonus and he is yet to score in his first three Liverpool Premier League games. Thus far, Liverpool sits on the 11th place in the Premier League and despite the 3-0 win against Tottenham Hotspur, they team lost to Manchester City, Aston Villa and West Ham United.

Meanwhile on Twitter, Joey Barton claimed that Balotelli is the "biggest myth in world football." Barton compared Baloteli to Luiz Suarez, bringing together three of football's greatest villains.

Balotelli? He is the biggest myth in World football the fella. Fair play to him he's had everyones trolleys down...

- Joseph Barton (@Joey7Barton) September 23, 2014

Barton indicated that Balotelli will never compare to Suarez during Liverpool's recent League Cup win over Middlesbrough. The 32-year-old, Barton believes that the Super Mario nickname is unjustifiable and thinks that the Italian is even lucky to be playing at the top.

Although it is normal for Barton to speak his mind on Twitter, some might find it ironic that he is challenging Balotelli's game's quality when he has achieved less in the game than the younger kicker. Balotelli has 33 international caps compared to Barton's one. Moreover, although Balotelli's recent performances for Liverpool have been underwhelming, he has already proven himself across multiple leagues - 68 goals in 162 matches, per Who Scored. Balotelli's stats equates to a goal every 2.38 matches in all levels, which is pretty decent considering that he was just 19 years old when he began.

The fact that Balotelli did not net 31 Premier League goals during the last season alone like Suarez might be the reason Barton looks down on the Italian. But then again, for whatever it's worth, the three rank among football's biggest troublemakers.
