Now that they are on different fences, Kevin Love had some choice words for his former employer and Minnesota Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor: focus on your own team.

Appearing on ESPN Radios' "Mike and Mike", the newly minted Cleveland Cavaliers power forward responded to critical comments made by Taylor last Tuesday that his former player would get exposed for his defensive ineptitude and might turn out to be the scapegoat if the team under performs.

"I think emotions are definitely running high right now," Love told "Mike & Mike." per ESPN "For Glen to say that, I just think that he should be focusing on the players that he just received. I mean, he has two of the No. 1 picks in the last two drafts: Andrew Wiggins and Anthony Bennett. He has another guy who can really play in Thaddeus Young."

Love appeared composed after hearing the remarks of Taylor who put a knock on his defensive tendencies even after averaging close to 13 rebounds for the Timberwolves last year. He also suggested that he enjoyed his six years in Minnesota and that the team should be in a happier place after netting the last two number picks in the draft, Anthony Bennett and Andrew Wiggins, widely considered one of the best hauls for a superstar demanding an out.

For now, Love insists that he is moving forward and getting to work and establish chemistry with his new teammates. He could not hide his excitement of being flanked alongside LeBron James and Kyrie Irving and possibly earn his very first playoff appearance. He also relayed that he thought he had a great relationship with Taylor during his stay with the club.

This comes after Taylor insisted that Love will have to adjust from being the alpha male and franchise player of the Timberwolves to shifting into a third wheel in the Cavaliers. He also delved into the health of the former all-star who missed almost whole of the 2012 season after breaking his hand twice.

"The only thing I still have a question mark about is health," Taylor said. "I had that concern then [when they negotiated his previous contract], and I still have that concern. I think Cleveland should have that concern, too."

The back and forth with Love and Taylor is not new to Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban who relates that he also has had some fair share ending relationships with former players on a sour note. He understands that in the heat of the moment, owners might just let words slip by without thinking first. He quipped that sometimes you have to take the high road and sometimes you just slip, which was the case for Glen Taylor.
