Jennifer Lawrence arrives for the world premiere of "The Hunger Games : Catching Fire" in London

Joan Rivers lashes out on Jennifer Lawrence after the latter's comments against Rivers in an interview.

On Tuesday the Fashion Police host posted a series of comments over her Twitter account (@Joan_Rivers) about the "Hunger Games" actress' interview on body acceptance, which specifically mentions her show.

"It's funny how Jennifer Lawrence loved @E_FashionPolice during Awards Season when we were complimenting her every single week... But now that she has a movie to promote, suddenly we're picking on all those poor, helpless actors," Rivers said.

"Wait! It just dawned on me why Jennifer Lawrence fell on her way up to the stage to get her Oscar. She tripped over her own arrogance," referring to the accident that the 23-year-old actress had during last year's Oscars where she won Best Actress for the film, "Silver Linings Playbook."

During a Q&A session with Yahoo last Thursday, Lawrence called out on the show and its hosts, including the 80-year-old fashion critic for "promoting wrong values."

"There are shows like Fashion Police that are just showing these generations of young people to judge people based on all the wrong values and that it's okay to point at people and call them ugly or fat," Lawrence said. "They call it 'fun' and they say 'welcome to the real world' -- and that shouldn't be the real world. It's going to continue being the real world if we keep it that way. We have to stop treating each other like that and stop calling each other fat."

"There are unrealistic expectations for women, it's disappointing that the media keeps it alive and fuels that fire. It's something that really bothers me -- because I love to eat," she further told.

"What are you going to do? Be hungry every single day to make other people happy? That's just dumb."

Lawrence was admittedly not the kind who dieted or worked out, and that "(n)othing can motivate (her)," she told InStyle magazine,

"During Hunger Games, when I was eating ungodly amounts, I used to tell myself, "Stop eating, people are going to see this. This movie is going to be around forever. But nope! I was like, I still want candy and I still want a hot dog!"

Rivers was known to be slow in reacting to criticisms and once she did, she brought it to public via social media.
