"Holby City" cast members, including Kaye Wragg (Essie), Louis Davison (Parker), Zubin Varla (Raf) Jaye Jacobs (Donna), Jemma Redgrave (Bernie), Eleanor Fanyinka (Morven), Rosie Marcel (Jac), David Ajao (Damon), Guy Henry (Hanssen) and Christian Vit (Matteo), will be featured in an upcoming episode titled "Going the Distance." It will air on BBC One on July 18.

The new episode will show Essie trying to connect with Parker. She'll consider asking for Raf's help. Plus, Bernie will ask Donna to keep an eye on Morven. Read on to learn more about it.

"Holby City" Series 19, episode 41 will feature Essie worrying about not being a good foster mum to Parker, according to the show's official website. She still wants to have a go at it without asking for anyone's help, especially Raf's. However, she'll consider trusting Raf to help her connect with Parker.

Elsewhere, Matteo will depress Jac even further by assigning her to assess Damon. Things turn around when Damon does well and Jac will feel energised by it. She will also ask Hanssen to get her career back on track.

Meanwhile, Morven returns to work and makes herself really busy with a patient's diagnosis and treatment. Bernie will worry about how she will do; that is why she'll ask Donna to keep an eye on Morven.

'Holby City' Season 19 episode 41: 'Going the Distance' stars

The Internet Movie Database (IMDb) lists Alex Walkinshaw as Adrian "Fletch" Fletcher, Joe McFadden as Raffaello Di Luca, Lee Mead as Ben "Lofty" Chiltern, Camilla Arfwedson as Zosia March and Anderson James as Oliver Valentine as some of the actors and actresses that will be seen in this episode. They will be joined by Kate Victors as Helena "Corky" Cork, Dan Mersh as Zach Hagenbach, Louis Davison as Parker Whitfield, Jack Kane as Lewis Portman and Maria Miles as Roma Portman. "Going the Distance" was directed by Sean Glynn and written by Chris Murray.

'Holby City' catch up: 'Sleep Well'

The episode before "Going the Distance" was "Sleep Well," which aired on July 11. It was written by Johanne McAndrew and Elliot Hope. It was directed by Sean Glynn. "Sleep Well" showed Donna realising a lot of things about her life when she saw an old schoolmate being admitted at the hospital during her shift. This incident got her thinking about her marriage.

Meanwhile, Jac and Fran worked on a case that involved someone from their childhood. As for Fletch, he encouraged Raf to go after Essie.
