Gigi Hadid has gushed about her friendship with Taylor Swift and was totally moved that Taylor took time out of her busy schedule to attend New York Fashion Week (NYFW) to support her – especially because that busy schedule probably involves work on the follow-up of her “1989” album.

The 21-year-old model presented her collaboration with Tommy Hilfiger, TOMMYXGIGI, at Hilfiger’s carnival-themed fashion show at NYFW on Friday. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight backstage, Gigi revealed that her pop star BFF, who just broke up with actor Tom Hiddleston, is back to the studio working on a new music.

“She’s obviously such a great friend, and you know she is starting to go back to work in the studio again, and really made time to be here for me, and I am so grateful for that,” Gigi shared.

The 26-year-old singer was all about supporting Gigi at the fashion show and even posted a video clip from the front row of the runway where she and model Martha Hunt enjoyed singing along to “This Is What You Came For,” a song Taylor co-wrote with ex Calvin Harris.

“SO PROUD OF YOU GIGI!!!! That show was INSANE. Congrats to Gi, Tommy, and all the girls who just owned that runway!!” Taylor captioned the Instagram post.

Martha also posted a photo of herself and Taylor looking at a cell phone at the event. “Tinder. Jk chill,” she joked.

Meanwhile, Taylor posted the same photo and shared the more likely version of what was going on: “Looking up videos of kittens hugging each other, probably.”

Since her debut album came out in 2006, the “Blank Space” singer has released a new record every two years, but her “1989” album will break that string. The blockbuster record was dropped in October 2014, and Scott Borchetta, founder of Taylor’s label Big Machine, revealed last month that no new collection will be released this year.
