Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive tackle Gerald McCoy believes fans are starting to get over the boundary after disrespecting head coach Greg Schiano, the Pro Bowl defensive player told ESPN on Friday.

McCoy quickly defended Schiano after the Bucs head coach received harsh criticism from fans in Tampa Bay's 31-13 loss to the Carolina Panthers last Thursday.

"If you want to be angry about the game or what's going on, be angry because we're angry, too. But don't disrespect him as a man,'' McCoy told ESPN.

"That man has a wife. He has kids at home. We have wives and kids. Just keep it to football. Don't take it outside of that. If you want to be whatever in football, that's OK. Be angry. We expect you to be angry. Nobody wants to be 0-7. But just leave everything else alone," he added.

According to ESPN, a local radio station reportedly brought in the stadium a 'Fire Schiano' sign while fans continued to harshly castigate the Buccaneers head coach for failing to give their football team a win seven games into the 2013 NFL season.

Meanwhile, Schiano really believed that he has the responsibility to put his team in a position to win games, adding all these criticisms are 'by-products' of their terrible 0-7 record.

"I think we all realize that it's a performance-based business,'' he told ESPN. "Players and coaches, we're paid to win. That's what it's all about. We owe it to our fans, our city, our community to win. That's what we're paid to do. When you don't win, there's consequence. We need to get our wins. I said it the other day: We'll get our share of wins, and I believe we will. Right now, there are only nine left, so it's not as many as you'd want, but we've got to get our share.''

Schiano has another chance to give the Buccaneers the victory when they take on the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday at Edward Jones Dome.
