The 2017 Formula One season moves to the street circuit in Sochi Autodrom Sunday for the Russian Grand Prix. Mercedes have won all three races since the sport returned to Russia after a break of 100 years.

Sebastian Vettel, after winning two of the first three races, led a Ferrari one-two at the end of Saturday's second practice session. The Mercedes duo of Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas struggled to keep pace with the Prancing Red Horse. While Vettel was 0.263 seconds clear of teammate Kimi Raikkonen, Bottas was third quickest but 0.670 seconds off the leading Ferrari and 0.039 seconds ahead of Hamilton.

F1 legend Niki Laudo, who serves as Mercedes' non-executive chairman, told BBC Sport Saturday that the team will impose team orders for Hamilton and Bottas. Since Hamilton is the more likely candidate to challenge Vettel for the FIA World Championship, Bottas will be asked to make way for the Briton.

"It is logical: 'If I cannot go as quick as my team-mate I have to give him room to fight Vettel. The biggest problem for (Valtteri) Bottas and Lewis (Hamilton) is Vettel now. He is the one to beat. In the past we had no team orders because we were dominating with both cars and there was no enemy, no-one could get in between. This year, the first three races, is completely different," said Lauda, a former three-time Formula One World Champion.

2017 Formula One season: Ferrari end Mercedes' domination

Three races into the season, it's safe to assume that Ferrari is a legitimate threat to Mercedes' chances of winning a fourth consecutive constructors' championship. Lauda recognises that. "Ferrari is competitive. Vettel is right there, makes no mistakes and gives us a real interesting fight. So our new policy has to be that if one driver of ours cannot go quicker than the other one then he has to think as a team and use his problems not to block the other one. But it is not a team order. So far Lewis was quicker, particularly in the last race, but these things can change, it works in both directions, we have to wait and see."

Hamilton won the inaugural Grand Prix at Sochi Autodrom and followed it up with another victory in 2015. Last year, reigning F1 World Champion Nico Rosberg prevailed at the Russian Grand Prix. F1 Live Streaming and Russian Grand Prix Live streaming info follows.
