Shailene Woodley has a secret recipe for her favourite tea and she literally picks the ingredients herself and prepares it in a slow cooker. The 'Divergent' star, who is linked to co-star Theo James, loves to brew a tea with medicinal properties using chaga (a kind of wild mushroom that grows on the trunk of the birch tree). According to "Natural Health Magazine," Shailene herself rummages chaga for her tea.
The chaga tea can be brewed in the traditional way of pouring boiling water over it, but the 'Divergent' actress prefers to make it in a slow cooker in big batches.
She uses the tea (which is bitter) as health supplement in her soup or coffee. Chaga is known for being an excellent anti-inflammatory and antioxidant fungus.
Shailene Woodley appears in the May issue of "Natural Health Magazine" and talks about her passion for commitment to nature.
"As a teenager, I started researching factory farming and genetically engineered foods and agriculture, and I found myself asking 'what's the point of environmentalism if we keep separating ourselves from nature?'" said Shailene to the magazine, reported by People.
Apart from making her own tea, Shailene loves her alternative lifestyle.
"I gather my own spring water from mountains every month. I go to a farm to get my food. I make everything from my own toothpaste to my own body lotions and face oils," said Shailene to Flaunt, reported by Daily Mail.
The star also makes her cheese and medicines. Shailene loves natural things and it clearly shows off in her sexy figure.
Shailene Woodley and Theo James starred in "Divergent" and soon they took over the coveted 'Robsten'. Shailene and Theo became 'Sheo'. Now, fans have something more than 'Robsten' to talk about. Also, the stars of "Divergent" have started filming the next instalment titled "Insurgent" writer by Veronica Roth, a bestselling author.
