Cristiano Ronaldo has expressed his desire to win fifth and sixth Golden Boot after collecting his record fourth Golden Boot on Tuesday night.

The Golden Boot award is awarded to Europe’s top-leading scorer in all competitions every season, and Cristiano, with 48 goals in 35 La Liga games in the 2014-15 season, won the award for a record fourth time. He has won three Golden Boots during his time at Real Madrid, and also won one at Manchester United, during the 2007-08 season.

Ronaldo was accompanied by his mother, son, Real Madrid coach Rafa Benitez, club president Florentino Perez and even the Portuguese ambassador to Spain at the ceremony.

"A fourth Golden Shoe is a very big honour and privilege. This trophy is very important for me. I am not satisfied. I always want more -- I want a fifth Golden Shoe, a sixth... for that, Real Madrid always has to win trophies, and this year will not be different. We want to win La Liga, the Champions League, the Copa del Rey. I hope we see each other again next year. I have always liked to work hard, and obviously at a club like Real Madrid, with these players at my side, I have a chance to win prizes like this. I want to thank my teammates, because without them I would not have the chance to win this trophy. And the physios and everyone who has helped me have a good year physically” Ronaldo told reporters after collecting the award.

Ronaldo has been on a record-breaking ever since joining Madrid from Manchester United for a then-world record fee of £80 million (AU $168.7 million) pounds. He became the joint all-time top scorer for Madrid earlier this season, tied with Raul, on 323 goals, and will have a chance to break it against Levante this weekend. He also scored his 500th career goal last month and has three Ballon D’Or awards to his name, winning two with Real Madrid in 2013 and 2014, and one with Manchester United in 2008.
