Nick Kyrgios has been eliminated of the 2015 Shanghai Rolex Masters. Kyrgios lost to Japan’s Kei Nishikori in three sets 1-6 6-4 6-4 in the second round of the tournament.

Nishikori dismissed the Australian in one hour and 53 minutes to advance in the third round in Shanghai. Kyrgios looked in control during the first set, saving all six break points he faced. However, the Japanese tennis star was undeterred not to bow early out of a tournament following his failed title defense in Tokyo.

The 20-year-old has previously announced on Twitter that he would be donating $50 dollars for every ace he hits until the end of the season. His 19 aces from his match against Nishikori will benefit the Elena Baltacha Foundation.

Kyrgios, a semifinalist in Kuala Lumpur and quarterfinalist in Tokyo, is on a six-month probation period following his verbal tirade towards Stan Wawrinka during the 2015 Rogers Cup. He received his second code violation warning during his first-round match against Andreas Haider-Maurer in Shanghai.

Meanwhile, Nishikori will play Kevin Anderson in the third round. Anderson beat Fabio Fognini 6-3 7-6(1) on Court 4 to setup a meeting with the Asian No. 1.

Nishikori owns a 2-0 advantage in his head-to-head series against the South African player. Both of their previous clashes took place this season. In February, Nishikori beat Anderson 6-4 6-4 to win the Memphis Open. The pair also met in the semifinals of the in one of the 11 ATP World Tour 500 series events at the Abierto Mexicano Telcel where the Japanese also won 6-2 3-6 6-3.
