After back-to-back wins, things are looking up for the Carolina Panthers while the same cannot be said of the same to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, which are one of only two teams left in the NFL still in search of their first victory of the 2013 NFL regular season.

Carolina convincingly won against the Minnesota Vikings, 35-10 and St. Louis Rams, 30-15 in the last two and is looking to stretch its win streak before taking on the Atlanta Falcons, San Francisco 49ers and New England Patriots in its next three games.

Only the 0-7 Jacksonville Jaguars have the worst record in the NFL. And by end of this Thursday Night Football game, the 6.5 home underdogs Tampa Bay may join them for the disastrous start in this regular season and the Buccaneers worst since 2009.

Led by quarterback Cam Newton, the Panthers are 7th overall in rushing yards per game (130.2) but it is Carolina's defense that has been very consistent this year. They are 5th overall in limiting opponent's passing game (217.7 per game) and 4th overall in containiing the oppositions' rushing game (84.5).

Both bad signs for the Buccaneers who are 29th in the league in average passing yards (196.7 per game) and 20th in average rushing yards (101.2 per game).
