Spice Girls fans were treated with a much-awaited reunion of the beloved ladies over the weekend, but it’s not the 20th anniversary concert tour everyone’s pining for.

On Saturday, Geri Halliwell, Melanie Brown and Emma Bunton spiced up social media when they took to Instagram to share a fun girls’ night that seemed to be the perfect backdrop for their first hit, “Wannabe.”

In the video that Geri, dubbed Ginger Spice, shared, Melanie (Scary Spice) and Emma (Baby Spice) were seen goofing off at the kitchen. Geri captioned the short clip, “kitchen disco.” Mel B, on the other hand, uploaded a video of them making silly faces. A banana mysteriously rests on her shoulder. “Hanging with my girls yippppeeee,” Mel B wrote. “[It’s] not a chip on my shoulder it’s a Banna.”

Emma’s Instagram post, meanwhile, tells everyone the essentials of an exciting weekend with girl friends. In the video, she holds up a mug with “mummy” written on it, while Mel B acts like she’s gulping down a whole bottle of wine and Geri seems like she’s about to attack a piece of cake. “On a Friday night all you need is tea, cake, wine and friendship,” Emma wrote.

Noticeably missing are the other two Spice girls members: Melanie Chisholm, more popularly known as Mel C or Sporty Spice, as well as Victoria Beckham or Posh Spice. This get-together seems to confirm earlier reports that the two won’t join the much-awaited 20th anniversary concert tour.

Earlier in April, Mel C was said to have pulled out from the planned reunion of the highly popular British pop girl group. In declining the anniversary concert, the 41-year-old fashionista previously claimed that she “has been very respectful about the fabulous time they had together in the past.” However, she revealed that her focus now is on her family and fashion business.
