Video Shows 'Zelensky’s Tears' Vodka Being Sold In Russian Supermarkets

Russian supermarkets reportedly sell bottles of Vodka labeled "Zelensky's Tears," a video posted on social media shows.

The seven-second footage posted online shows a man holding a bottle of Vodka in his right hand as he describes what he reportedly found on a supermarket shelf. "What a joke! Look at what they’re selling at Moscow supermarkets: ‘Zelensky’s Tears’ vodka. It’s unbelievable," the man said in the video, as reported by NY Post.

The bottle has a black and white image of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, wiping tears from his eyes with "Limited Edition" printed in English below the label.

Meanwhile, it is unclear if the video was taken from a supermarket in Moscow, Miami Standard reported. International Business Times could not independently verify the authenticity of the product shown in the video.

The video has received several comments from viewers, some asking if the product was available to order online. However, others said it was not a joke to laugh at a country that was invaded and criticized Russia, accusing them of celebrating "genocide."

"Russia brands a Vodka calls Zelenskys tears! They promote and celebrate the genocide they do!" a user wrote with hashtags demanding to stop the war, while another opined: "Yeah because it is funny to laugh at a country you invaded and killing thousands and thousands of innocent people."

"And yet Putin's military casualties are 5 times as high as Zelenskyy's. And Zelenskyy isn't the one who's losing and simultaneously wrecking his economy," a user claimed while commenting on the video.

Since the beginning of the war in February, there have been reports of Russia selling several products with pro-war symbols and labels. These products glorifying Russia's invasion of Ukraine included the use of the letter Z, and other labels like "Za Pobedu" (for victory) and "Zadacha Budet Vipolnena" meaning "The Mission Will Be Fulfilled.”

Meanwhile, a Swiss company, Drink For Peace has been selling a limited-edition premium quality vodka labeled "Vodka Zelensky" to support Ukrainians. The company claims to donate 100 percent of its profits to Ukraine until at least 2026.
