'Vampire Diaries' Season 6 Spoilers: Kai's Real Move On His Twin Merge Plan, Damon-Alaric Conflict Continues In Mid-Season Finale Episode

The CW Network released a preview video that features executive producers Julie Plec and Caroline Dries talking about the mid-season finale episode of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6. In the upcoming episode titled "Christmas Through Your Eyes," the focus appears to be on Bonnie (Kat Graham) whether she comes home or not and on Kai (Chris Wood) finally making his big move to be the leader of the Gemini coven.

In the preview clip, executive producer Caroline Dries teased that Kai will kidnap his witch siblings Jo (Jodi Lyn O'Keefe), Liv (Penelope Mitchell) and Luke (Chris Brochu) to make his twin merging plan work. Dries further added that the situation will intensify the conflict between best friends Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Alaric (Matt Davis) because of Alaric's relationship with Jo.

"Can I ask why we continuously compromise logic for some girl you just met?" Damon declares in the preview clip. Additionally, executive producer Julie Plec teased the other issues that the mid-season finale episode will deal with such as Bonnie still stuck in the 1994 prison world and the Stefan-Caroline relationship. Meanwhile, a Wet Paint report speculates on the TVD character that could die in the mid-season finale episode after actor Paul Wesley, who portrays Stefan Salvatore in the CW TV series, teased to E!Online that there is a big death coming. The report claims the character must be close to Caroline because the episode synopsis revealed that Stefan will be forced to deliver the devastating news to the vampire.

Caroline's mom, Sheriff Forbes (Marguerite MacIntyre), is speculated to be the character dying in the mid-season finale because losing her mom would really devastate Caroline. Another character speculated to die is Matt (Zach Roerig) since he vowed to kill Enzo (Michael Malarkey) and the promo video for the mid-season finale episode showed Matt locked up in a truck.

Other details in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6, episode 10 synopsis in a Comic Book Movie report tease that there will be flashback scenes because Bonnie reminisces the happy times she spent with her friends during the holidays, Tyler (Michael Trevino) approaches Liv and Luke with a risky plan and Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) agrees to help Matt with his plan to take down Enzo but becomes worried when his friend takes things too far.

"The Vampire Diaries" Season 6, episode 10 or the mid-season finale episode titled "Christmas Through Your Eyes" is scheduled to air on Thursday night, Dec. 11, at 8 p.m. ET on the CW Network.
