Another record-breaking Sydney weather in November occured this year. If you have noticed the chilly breeze Sunday, it was the coldest recorded day for this month after 7 long years as it was on a high of 17.6 degrees. According to SMH.com.us, Sydney locals felt the same cold weather way back in 2006, which was at 16.6 degrees.

Early weather warnings were given to warn people of the strong winds and flashfloods that may happen in the coastline of the Australian city, along with the Hunter region. Forecaster Jake Phillips reported the average speed of the wind is at 60 kilometers per hour and up to 90 kilometers per hour for its peak.

Kim Westcott, a meteorologist from Weatherzone, added a low pressure area was triggering the wind and the rain straight to the Sydney coast.

Sydney certainly went through wild weekend weather. Among the group of campers, there were even a couple of teachers who needed to be rescued. Sydney Morning Herald also reported the week was the wettest than the famous city down under experienced after 26 years.

The city garnered a total of 150 millimeters of rain for November alone. The extreme change of weather was a total shock for experts considering that things were totally dry from July to October in the past decade. Sydney was surely overwhelmed with the huge deal of water it had since Friday.

Max Gonzalez, another meteorologist from the Weatherzone, said all the rain and wind will slowdown by Monday afternoon, but it will be back by Thursday and Friday. This means that it will once again be a wet and cold weekend for the harbor city.

Are you from Sydney? What are your plans for the weekend? Make sure you wear something to warm you up.
