Take a look at some of Middleton's best and worst spectator hats and judge if she looks like a princess or an ornament.

Since joining the Royal Family, the Duchess is known for pairing her ensembles with little, adorned hats, simply called as "spectator hats." These little hats seem to be a staple accessory for royal ladies when appearing in public, especially if they are wearing sleek suits and dresses.

Middleton has won various spectator hats for her appearances, from the classy and appropriate to the downright hilarious and costume-y.

The Duchess proved her elegance by paring a small, rounded spectator hat of a similar hue with the navy Alexander McQueen military dress she wore at an event. Another appropriate choice is the red spectator she donned while in Canada, a cute little number that had a maple leaf on it.

For the not-so-appealing ones, there's this flock of feathers The Duchess must have mistaken for a hat. When Middleton was snapped wearing it, she looked a guest star for the Muppets, only with a sapphire diamond ring and a Prince on hand. Then, there's also the so-called "Pringles hat" the Duchess wore for Zara Phillips wedding that made her look like a regal spokesperson for the chip franchise.
