Is Kate Middleton Ready for the British Style Awards? [PHOTOS]

The Duchess of Cambridge sure has caused quite a stir in the fashion world, but is she ready for Britain's most coveted style showdown?

On November 28^th, the British Style Awards will take place, noting the most fashionable celebrities and personalities all over the country. The shortlisted winners will be chosen from a poll, and it is possible that the Duchess will be deemed the most fashionable icon in all of Britain.

"The list is by no means definitive and we welcome suggestions from the British public to nominate any individual who embodies the creative spirit of London." said a spokesperson from the British Fashion Council to Vogue.

The Duchess of Cambridge has made London the new fashion capital of the world all thanks to the Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen bridal gown she wore on the day of her wedding. Since April, all fashion eyes have been on the lookout for The Duchess' next ensemble, with pieces selling out as soon as fans see it worn by Middleton.

So far, Middleton has carried the designers and brands such as Issa London, Jenny Packham, Erdem, and Reiss to her rise to fame, and has made the fashion industry bloom with her elegant choice of clothing.

On the other hand, The Duchess is also no stranger to thrift shopping. She is constantly seen wearing reasonably-priced items from retailers like Zara and Topshop. Because of this, some are saying that the Duchess deserves no place in the most fashionable shortlist in all of Britain, but designer Diane Von Furstenburg strongly disagrees.

"It seems to me that her image is 'ordinary woman'. Therefore, High Street shopper. And I just think she should be an extraordinary woman, wherever she gets her clothes from" says the designer in a report.
