Original vampire hunter Mikael (Sebastian Roché) currently makes a more permanent appearance in the CW spinoff series "The Originals" Season 2 after the character got introduced first in "The Vampire Diaires." Actor Sebastian Roché recently opened up in an interview about his character's arc in the latest season of "The Originals" as well as Mikael's relationship with his family at present time.

In an exclusive TV Equals interview, the 50-year-old French-Scottish actor admitted that he is glad being a more permanent part in "The Originals" Season 2 as Mikael because it is an opportunity for him to explore and enhance the character. "It's going to make for an interesting season," Roché assured the fans.

Sebastian Roché teased that Mikael's presence in "The Originals" Season 2 means a lot of epic confrontations. In "The Originals" Season 2, episode 5 titled "Red Door," Cami (Leah Pipes) finally heard Mikael's side as to why his anger with Klaus (Joseph Morgan) is so deep.

The actor explained that Mikael's relationship with his children is a very complex one. Mikael revealed to Cami that he was betrayed by Klaus when the Original hybrid turned the Mikaelson family against him. "His relationship has been deformed by the fact that a lie was created when Klaus basically accused his father of killing his mother (i.e. my wife). It basically set the whole family against me. So there is sort of a love/hate relationship with other members of the family because they support the one enemy I have," Roché explained.

Because of that, Sebastian Roché shared that his character has been carrying hatred, pain and revenge with him for over a thousand years now making the relationship with his family more complicated. The actor added that even though Mikael's pain and anger is taking over him, he thinks that there is still a part in Mikael that loves Klaus so the character has some redeemable qualities.

Aside from portraying Mikael, Sebastian Roché's work credits also include his portrayal of angel Balthazar from another CW TV series titled "Supernatural." The actor recently revealed his favorite episode, character and moment as "Supernatural" celebrates with their 200th milestone episode this 2014.

Sebastian Roché shared in an E!News TV Scoop interview that his favorite episode is from "Supernatural" Season 6 titled "French Mistake" where his favorite moment is when his character, Balthazar, changed history and un-sink the Titanic ship.

"I had a scene with Sam and Dean and they were like, 'Why'd you unsink the Titanic?!' And I go, 'Have you seen the movie?! I hated that song! That song drove me nuts!' And then Céline Dion was an unemployed waitress somewhere," Roché recounted. As for his favorite character, the actor mentioned his character, Balthazar, Rob Benedict's character, Chuck Shurley, Mark Sheppard as the King of Hell Crowley and Osric Chau as prophet Kevin Tran.

The fans can currently catch Sebastian Roché as Original vampire hunter or "The Destroyer" in "The Originals" Season 2. New episode airs on Monday nights at 8/7c on the CW Network.
