Samsung has officially confirmed the launch details of the 2017 Samsung Galaxy A series handsets. The upcoming Galaxy A3, Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7 (2017) are expected to be unveiled next week, January 5, with improved specs and contemporary features. New press renders back that up as fresh details about the new Galaxy A series have made rounds.

Samsung Galaxy A3 (2017)

The 2017 Samsung Galaxy A3 is likely to furnish a 4.7-inch 720p Super AMOLED display and pack an Exynos 7870 chipset with a 1.5 GHz octa-core Cortex-A53 CPU, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of expandable storage and a non-removable lithium-ion battery with 3,000 mAh capacity. According to GSMArena, a 13 MP primary camera is expected along with an 8 MP secondary camera. The new Galaxy A3 is reportedly going to be available in four colours: blue coral, black sky, peach cloud and gold sand. The A3 should retail for about €379 (AU$549).

Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017)

The median 5.2-Galaxy A5 is going to be powered by an Exynos 7880 chipset with a 1.8 GHz octa-core Cortex-A53 CPU, 32 GB of storage and 3 GB of RAM. It is likely to sport a 3,300 mAh lithium-ion battery, a 5.2-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display and two 16 MP cameras (front and back). The Galaxy A5 is expected to be offered with the same colour options as the new Galaxy A3 with a price tag of €479 (AU$694). The 2017 Galaxy A3 and A5 are expected to be released in Europe by mid-January.

Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017)

The top-tier among the 2017 Galaxy A series handsets, the Galaxy A7 is expected to feature a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution and 401 ppi pixel density. The A series leader is likely to equip an Exynos 7880 processor with 3 GB of RAM and storage options of 32 GB and 64 GB. The previous Galaxy A7 model went for about US$499 (AU$669) but the 2017 version is expected to be priced much higher due to new innovations. All of the 2017 Samsung Galaxy A series phones are expected to be water-resistant.
