Ahead of its much speculated launch in June, the full specs sheet of the Samsung Galaxy S7 Active has been revealed. The Samsung galaxy S7 Active release date may fall on June 10, according to unofficial reports.

Just like its predecessor, the Galaxy S7 Active will also be exclusive to AT&Tin the United States.

Popular leakster Evan Blass (@evleaks) claims to have the actual specifications of the Samsung Galaxy S7 Active. In a report published by Venture Beat, Blass stated that the Galaxy S7 Active will imbibe design elements similar to that of the Galaxy S6 Active.

However, the Galaxy S7 Active will be thicker and heavier than its predecessor. The device will come packed with a massive 4,000mAh battery unit as compared to the 3500 mAh battery cell of the Galaxy S6 Active. The Galaxy S7 features a 3,000mAh battery.

Contrary to earlier rumours, the Galaxy S7 Active would sport a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display, which carries a Quad HD resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels (576 ppi pixel density). Previously, it was believed that the device will come with a larger 5.5-inch display screen.

The smartphone will be powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor accompanied by a gigantic 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory. The S7 Active will also sport microSD card slot for memory expansion.

In case of Galaxy S6 Active, Samsung relied on its home grown quad-core Exynos 7420 Octa chipset. The smartphone houses 3GB of RAM.

The revamped Galaxy S7 Active will be shipped with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box.

In the camera department, the new S7 Active will house a 12-megapixel rear-facing camera sensor as compared to the 16MP main camera of the Galaxy S6 Active. Just like Samsung Galaxy S7, the camera unit of the Active variant will also feature a dual pixel sensor which enhances low-light images.
