Robert Pattinson’s “The Batman,” directed by Matt Reeves and co-starring Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, will be the longest “Batman” movie ever. Insiders at Warner Bros. confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter on Thursday that the upcoming film will run nearly three hours at 2 hours and 55 minutes, including 8 minutes of credits, making it the longest standalone “Batman” movie to hit theaters.

That also makes it one of the longest for a theatrical superhero movie, falling behind Marvel’s “Avengers: Endgame,” which runs three hours and one minute. The record holder for the longest superhero flick is Zack Snyder’s “Justice League,” which runs 4 hours and 2 minutes.

In an interview with MovieMaker last week, “The Batman” star Zoe Kravitz, who is set to play Catwoman in the movie, shared how Director Reeves paid so much attention to every detail while making the film. “Matt is the most specific persona and director I’ve ever worked with,” she said.

“And I really think it’s one of his biggest strengths. I think sometimes he beats himself up about it, because he can probably drive himself almost crazy sometimes. But his specificity is really beautiful, especially in a film like this where it can be so easy to just focus on the big action sequences or the explosions. And he will pay attention to the way you put down a cup,” she added.

The Motion Picture Association said last week that “The Batman” has been rated PG-13 for its “strong, violent, and disturbing content, drug content, strong language, and some suggestive material.”

The film, which marks Reeves’ first since the 2017 film “War of the Planet of the Apes,” will find Pattinson following in the footsteps of Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer, George Clooney, Christian Bale and Ben Affleck as the Caped Crusader and will center on Bruce Wayne’s early days of fighting crime.

Starring alongside Pattinson are Kravtiz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as James Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, Peter Sarsgaard as Gil Colson, and Colin Farrell as Penguin.

The Batman” hits theaters on March 4.
